Earlier this year, Pathe and Chapter 2 released “The Three Musketeers – Part I: D’Artagnan” in France – the first of a $78 million two-part epic saga based on the legendary Alexandre Dumas works.

It was critically well-received and a box-office hit in France, but hasn’t scored much of a release internationally. The second film, “The Three Musketeers – Part II: Milady,” is scheduled to open in French cinemas in mid-December.

Today, two trailers arrived for the films. The first is the U.S. official trailer for the first movie which Samuel Goldwyn Films to release it both in U.S. cinemas on December 13th.

The second is the French teaser trailer for ‘Part II: Milady’ which shows off some of the epic scale of this two-part saga which was filmed for eight months on location in France and encompassed 650 horses, 9,000 extras and countless prestigious landmarks.

Martin Bourboulon directs the story, which revolves around a handful of men and women who cross swords in a kingdom divided by religious wars and threatened by British invasion.

Eva Green leads the cast as Milady DeWinter, joined by Francois Civil as D’Artagnan, Vincent Cassel as Athos, Pio Marmaï as Porthos, and Romain Duris as Aramis.

Also starring are Louis Garrel as King Louis XIII, Vicky Krieps as Queen Anne, Eric Ruf as Cardinal Richelieu, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as The Duke of Buckingham, and Marc Barbe, Lyna Khoudri, Patrick Mille and Julien Frison.
