Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar of Bollywood, has praised his daughter Suhana Khan’s song Sunoh from the upcoming Netflix film The Archies directed by Zoya Akhtar. The song, which was released on Thursday, features Suhana as Veronica Lodge, one of the lead characters of the musical comedy based on the popular American comic book series.

Sunoh is a catchy and upbeat track that showcases the lives of the teenagers in Riverdale, a fictional town where everything seems perfect. The song also features the debutants Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot and Yuvraj Menda as other iconic characters from the Archie comics.

Shah Rukh Khan is all praises for the first song of the film. In a social media post, Shah Rukh Khan shared a video of the song and wrote, “This is so quaint and beautiful the world of The Archies. Also my motivation line for today is ‘Trading my shoes in for wheels under my feet’!”

He also added hashtags #ZoyaAkhtar #SuhanaKhan #AgastyaNanda #Dot #KhushiKapoor #VedangRaina #YuvrajMenda #MihirAhuja to his caption. The song, which is composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders and sung by Tejas, has been written by Javed Akhtar and Dot.

Suhana Khan, who is making her acting debut with The Archies, has been receiving positive feedback from fans and celebrities for her performance in the song.

The song introduces the main characters one by one: Archie Andrews (Agastya Nanda), the charismatic leader of the gang who loves music and sports; Betty Cooper (Khushi Kapoor), the sweet and smart girl next door who has a crush on Archie; Veronica Lodge (Suhana Khan), the rich and glamorous newcomer who catches Archie’s eye; Jughead Jones (Mihir Ahuja), the sarcastic and cynical writer who is Archie’s best friend; Reggie Mantle (Vedang Raina), the arrogant and competitive rival of Archie; Cheryl Blossom (Dot), the manipulative and spoiled queen bee of Riverdale High; and Kevin Keller (Yuvraj Menda), the openly gay and friendly classmate of Archie and his friends.

The song is a lively and soothing number that features Agastya Nanda and his friends singing along. Suhana Khan makes her entrance in Riverdale on skates, while Khushi Kapoor explores the scenic spot on her bike.

The song also gives a glimpse of the various settings and scenarios that will be explored in the film, such as the school, the diner, the football field, the dance floor, the lake house, and the mysterious woods. The song ends with a group shot of The Archies, the band formed by Archie and his friends.

The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is set to release on December 7, 2023 on Netflix. The film also stars Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Aditi “Dot” Saigal as Ethel Muggs and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley. The film is a live-action adaptation of the comic book series that follows the adventures of a group of teenage friends who form a band.
