The Housefull franchise is one of the most successful comedy series in Bollywood, and fans are eagerly waiting for the fifth installment. According to latest reports, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has locked the script for Housefull 5 and is planning to bring together five heroes for the film. The star cast is likely to include Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh, who have all been part of the previous films.

Housefull 5 pushed to 2024 due to casting issues
Housefull 5 will be the biggest film in the franchise, as it will feature all the characters from the previous films in a crossover.
“Sajid Nadiadwala was planning to take Housefull 5 on floors by December 2023, however, the plans were pushed to 2024 when the casting was taking longer than expected. Just last week, Sajid and Akshay approached Abhishek and John to sign them for the film,” revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.
Both Abhishek and John had to say no based-on date issues. “While they were more than willing to come on board for Housefull 5, they were not able to allot bulk dates for Housefull 5,” the source added.

Sajid and Akshay have still not given up on bringing the stars of Housefull 2 and Housefull 3 to the film. Housefull 5 will start shooting in early 2024 and the actors are being finalized. The film may have a fresh cast (except Akshay and Ritesh) for this comedy series helmed by Tarun Mansukhani.
Housefull 4 was released in 2019 and was a huge hit at the box office, earning over Rs 200 crore. The film had Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead roles. The film was a reincarnation comedy that spanned 600 years.
Housefull 5 will be a treat for the fans of the franchise, as they will get to see their favorite actors in a hilarious adventure. The film will also mark the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, who were last seen together in Housefull 4. The duo have a great chemistry and comic timing on screen, and fans are hoping to see them recreate the magic in Housefull 5.
