When I first started an online business, I was struggling with self-belief.

7 years later, I’m on track to make multi-6 figures in 2023; the most I’ve ever earned in a single year.

But I’m not saying this to brag. The last 7 years have been one hell of a rollercoaster ride, and I’m not talking about the fun ones.

I have learnt some incredible lessons along the way though. Here’s 5 things I’ve realised successful entrepreneurs believe (that you may not).

Back then, I got up every damn day and I did the work…

Despite feeling like nobody believed in me (not even myself).

The only difference between then and now is I’ve worked really hard to rebuild my self-belief, so when I get up and do the work, I do it with confidence.

And it shows when I write content, when I speak to people and when I sell my services. You’ll never understand the impact self-confidence makes until you’ve cultivated a truck-tonne of it.

For the first few years, all I had was a laptop, a dream and an uber-supportive future-wife.

Since then, I’ve stopped having to rely on my fiancé to feed me.

But can I tell you something?

She means more to me than anything because she gave me the time and space to create the freedom we both enjoy today.

In the beginning, you work your arse off for nothing. It’s pretty much a rite of passage when building online. The people who succeed aren’t always the people who find instant success. The ones who succeed are the people who can afford to stick it out long enough.

If it wasn’t for my now wife, I wouldn’t have had the time to build, and I wouldn’t be where I am today.
